Avi Buffalo's Soundtrack Potential

Yesterday evening I stumbled upon a great band that I think is little known over here. It is called Avi Buffalo (pictured opposite), and their music is fairly quirky, ironic and different from a lot of the other stuff I've heard. Also, they have a great sounding clean guitar, and I'm a big fan of those compared to guitars with serious overdrive - what's up with them? Don't get me wrong, I like rock, but I actually do want to hear the notes the guitars are playing!

But anyway, Avi Buffalo. In particular I like the track 'Truth Sets In' (which is available free from iTunes this week). Now as I am very fond of putting music to film in my head, I think the chorus of that song has good potential in that area. It's very catchy, and I love the minor undercurrent to it (musically speaking and lyrically) and the sorta swelling effect it has. Maybe if I do a documentary type thing next year for my Extended Project AS, there could be a spot for it in the soundtrack (that's if I haven't written all the music already). So check them out if you've got a spare moment, and I hope you're not disappointed!
